Rev. Capt. Richard Mayabi has worked as pastor, evangelist, pioneer missionary, and church planter. He describes himself as a “humble servant of God” with the “faith of a buffalo” and a “passion for grassroots ministry.”
Prior to taking the helm at Church Army Africa in January 2009, Rev. Mayabi pastored growing congregations in the Dioceses of Machakos, Nairobi, and All Saints Cathedral, Kenya. He has been involved in missions for over 10 years and has worked to establish over 12 new churches.
Rev. Mayabi has a special heart for ministry in the informal settlements and has extensive experience serving in Kibera, the largest slum in Eastern Africa.
As General Secretary, he hopes to serve his fellow officers and promote the work of mission across the continent. |
