At the Centre for Urban Mission we offer training in several areas:
Higher Diploma in Urban Mission
This is a course of Carlile College that is particularly designed for pastors who live and work in informal settlements. Its curriculum has been developed to offer a unique opportunity to learn about urban ministry in Africa. For more information, visit: Carlile College
Post-Graduate Training
In conjunction with the University of South Africa (UNISA) and the Institute for Urban Ministry (IUM) in Pretoria, we offer opportunities for suitably qualified students to pursue Bachelors (BTh) and Masters (MTh) degrees.
Samaritan Strategy Training
This is a discipleship training course that equips church leaders in transformational ministry. It operates on the premise that people who follow Jesus in every area of life can transform the communities they live in. Pastors who complete the training launch Seed Projects in their churches.
This is a non-formal pastor's training programme that emphasizes both biblical knowledge and ministry skills to pastors who have not had the opportunity to receive formal training. The course includes: Bible survey, basic Christian doctrines, leadership studies, pastoral ministry training and skills development. Samaritan Strategy is a prerequisite for this course.
